New multi- use building
scheduled to be completed 2025

A New Chapter for a MetroWest Nonprofit

For years, a 70-year-old building faced challenges: a leaky roof, a $20,000 air conditioning replacement, and a water heater on the verge of failure. This was the reality for a MetroWest nonprofit that understood these repairs would divert precious resources from their programs, serving only as temporary fixes to a growing list of challenges.
Coming Soon: May/June 2024
As the old building makes way for new possibilities, we are excited to announce the upcoming transformation into a state-of-the-art facility.
The new 7,000 sq. ft. space will feature:

  • An energy-efficient first floor

  • A free medical and mental health center

  • A “Food Is Medicine” commercial kitchen

  • The Dignity First Client Choice Market

  • 25% affordable housing

  • A community meeting space

This vision is becoming a reality thanks to the partnership with a for-profit construction company that believes in our mission and the power of community.

Technology and Volunteers working together to eliminate senior Isolation

Senior isolation is a growing challenge as our population ages. As that challenge expands communications with become critical to senior health and wellbeing.
Connecting seniors to family, friends and social services is the idea behind our aKINDer Chat software and tablet video chat program.
One touch video calling and group calling makes this program easy and effective. In addition, our built-in personal safety features can give everyone peace of mind.

Supporting Local Farms and Establishing a Farm Hub

We are proud to partner with a regional "Food Hub" to enhance local agricultural production and distribution. Through this collaboration, we are supplying a 90x30 heated hoop greenhouse that will extend the growing season for farmers.
This initiative not only supports our commitment to sustainable agriculture but also strengthens our ties with independent family farms across New England.
By increasing their capacity to produce fresh, nutritious produce, we are ensuring that these farms can supply vital resources to nonprofits throughout Massachusetts.
Together, we’re fostering a thriving local food system that benefits our community and supports those in need.

Food Is Medicine Kitchen

For over 12 years, our nonprofit has championed the "Food Is Medicine" approach to health and wellness. We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new, modern kitchen, designed to enhance our mission.
With the implementation of our Healthy Communities software, we will now be able to identify and effectively respond to our clients' specific nutritional needs.
This innovative kitchen will enable us to provide tailored meals that support health and well-being in our community.

Client Choice Market

Hunger is often viewed as something that can be resolved with a simple sandwich, but ending food insecurity requires a deeper understanding. It’s a personal reality that manifests as stress, frustration, and anger due to uncertainty and a lack of control.
In partnership with a MetroWest nonprofit, we are committed to creating a new reality for clients across Massachusetts.
Our Client Choice Market empowers individuals by providing them with the dignity of choice in their food selections, helping to alleviate the burdens of food insecurity. Together, we’re working towards a brighter future where everyone has access to the nutritious food they need.
